Independence Day in D.C.

I got to check off another item on my bucket list.
We spent the 4th of July in Washington D.C! We went to watch at the Lincoln Memorial!
 How cool is that?

We started walking around 8:15 thinking that we were going to have to fight through a crowd just to stand the entire time but we found a nice field with just a few people. These pictures do not do ANY justice to the magnitude of the show. It was the biggest, loudest, fireworks show I have ever seen! It felt as you could reach out and touch them. It was as if, you were in a planetarium or something. It felt like every series was the finale....until the finale occured! There was no mistaking it. They even spelled out U - S - A in fireworks!

FYI - The Washington Monument is under construction right now.

A good time was had by all and it is an Independence Day I will never forget.
So thankful!
