Marco started enjoying the LEGOs that sister created.

Trying to keep playing some tennis.

Theres something about this little things. Both kids just love playing with them.

And lots of trampoline jumping.

snow day!

The night of my birthday, a miracle happend.
IT. SNOWED!

In true Texas fashion, we got out and played during our two hour school delay!

LEGO bug

Someone caught the LEGO bug and I love it!
I never had LEGOs growing up so I get to play with Rey now!
Marco like them too.

on wood working.

On most projects, I have the confidence to work on.
But there are two that I do NOT.
1) electrical
2) wood work

The problem is that many of my ideas involve one or the other.
Currently, I am dreaming of new light fixtures. Lots of them.
I have had a couple of ideas with wood work and I took full advantage of my father in law's visit.
He's great. and great with wood work.

I found this old drafting table that would be great for my map making.
The top was warped and I asked if he could fix that.
He did.
and also everything else about the table!
Its just so pretty and functional and fits the feel of our house!

Another project was toy storage in a kid's room.
I couldn't find anything that was more functional than the IKEA cubbies that you see everywhere.
But I wanted more. I knew I wanted a wood top and casters at the bottom.
But he added STAINED wood, with no visible nails, and 6 casters!
It looks great!

I must have gained some confidence from all his success.
I decided to work on a wood project myself.
Our neighbors cut down a tree and there was a pile of wood on their curb.
I picked through and found a couple of pieces for a side table.
*I was pregnant when this happened so that means,
this piece has been sitting in the basement for 2+ years

I pulled it out and scraped off the first layer of bark.
I have found that my procrastination of projects usually has to do with proximity to the kids.
If I have to be in another room to work while the kids are awake, I'm probably not going to do it.
If the kids are asleep, I sacrifice time with Neil or stay up way too late.
So, I put a table cloth down and worked in the living room.
I asked Neil to spray paint the legs of an old stool we had and he screwed it directly into the stump.
It looks better than I thought it would.
I wasn't sure about the height but it fits perfectly with the rocker!
When CoCo saw it, he said "TREE!"

All these projects turned out great!
Now onto the lights.....?

First lost tooth.

First Tooth

Reyna lost her first tooth!
It was loose one day, and gone 5 days later!

She was so excited about it.
She went to eat and play at Chuck E. Cheese with her Gram and Grandpa and lost it while eating Dippin' Dots!

It was nowhere to be found....probably because she swallowed it!

But the tooth fair was VERY understanding!

Two infinity and beyond!

Toy Story is popular in our house right now so this was a very fitting theme!

I found these Polaroids WITH toy story!!

We had a photo booth with props

The cake was bought at the grocery story and we decorated it with sprinkles. My mom added the stars and I put a small Buzz up there.
It came out great!!

We had cupcakes and I found these cute toppers at the Dollar Store!
It took a couple of stops to track them down.

Hamm made a great centerpiece with chocolate coins!
(that were gone by the end)

I made tshirt designs on the computer and printed them at home and then ironed them on.
They came out great for a one time use.

A few special balloons got aliens on them.
That was a last minute thought.
The Buzz pinata was a hit!
Marco liked him a lot.
 My sister made these blocks!
So cute!

I painted his shoes and I love them!

 We made our own Forkys
and played snake toss. Inspired by Woody's line "There's a snake in my boot"

He opens one gift and HAS to take it out and play with it immediately before opening the next gift.
Yes, it took a long time!  LOL

Toy Story tattoos
And of course, of all the"things" we had, the balloons were the favorite!

I am so grateful for a family that loves to celebrate. We had so many cousins, tias, and tios there.
